How cyber secure is your business?

10DR

In this climate of ever-increasing cyber threat, supply chains are often seen as an easy route to attack larger organisations. In light of this, the Scottish Government has developed the Cyber Security Procurement Support Tool (CSPST) which is used by public sector buyers to assess the cyber security of bidding suppliers.

Do you know how digitally secure your business is? More and more organisations are asking suppliers for information on their arrangements to defend against cyber threats during the procurement process. SDP wants to support suppliers, so they are aware of its own cyber security and can answer questions about its cyber security processes.

Supplier Development Programme will be hosting a Cyber Resilience – Helping You Meet the Requirement of Public Sector Tendering webinar on 16 December to help Scottish businesses use the free Cyber Security Procurement Support Tool to become more cyber resilient. The webinar will explain how buyers use the CSPST to generate questions relating to its contract opportunity.

You will also be shown how to complete the CSPST during this session. It is very important that the first time you complete the questionnaire you put a lot of time and effort into your responses as they can be reused for contracts with the same or similar risk profiles for any authority using CSPST. This will significantly reduce the amount of time spent answering questions on cyber resilience overall.
