Talking Tenders with South Lanarkshire Council: Carers Supports and Services for Adult and Young Carers

South Lanarkshire Council is seeking to work in partnership with experienced third sector organisations to deliver cost‑effective, outcome‑based Adult Carer and Young Carer Support Services, in line with the priorities set out in the Carers Strategy 2023–2026.

About the Opportunity

The future contract is expected to support approximately:

• 300 Adult Carer referrals per quarter
• 60 Young Carer referrals per quarter

Services will cover both new and repeat referrals, including support for:

• Adult Carer Support Plans
• Young Carer Statements

Referral volumes may increase following the implementation of the Care Reform (Scotland) Bill and enhanced rights to breaks for carers.
