Meet the Buyer South 2022 Outcomes

The Supplier Development Programme has published the final report for Meet the Buyer South 2022.

Meet the Buyer South 2022 was held on 4 October at the Ettrick Riverside Business Centre in Selkirk. The headline partners were South of Scotland Enterprise (SOSE), Scottish Borders Council and Dumfries and Galloway Council. In total, 578 suppliers pre-registered interest on the SDP website for the Meet the Buyer South event. There were 239 actual attendees on the day. Of those, 130 attendees were from 105 unique Scottish SME businesses. Of those, 7 were based in Dumfries and Galloway, and 24 were based on the Scottish Borders.

Meet the Buyer North 2022 Outcomes

The Supplier Development Programme has published the final report for Meet the Buyer North 2022.

Meet the Buyer North 2022 was held on 7 September at the UHI Moray in Elgin. The headline partner was the Scottish Government. In total, 672 suppliers pre-registered interest on the SDP website for the Meet the Buyer North 2022 event. There were 345 actual attendees on the day. Of these, 238 attendees were from 192 unique Scottish SME businesses. Of those, 40 Scottish SMEs were based in the Moray Council area, 35 were based in the Highland Council area, 1 was based in Argyll and Bute Council, 19 were based in Aberdeen City Council and 29 were based in Aberdeenshire Council.

Stirling Council Community Wealth Building: Supplier Event Outcomes

The Supplier Development Programme has published the final report for the Stirling Council Community Wealth Building: Supplier Event.

Stirling Council, in partnership with the Supplier Development Programme, hosted a Community Wealth Building Supplier event at Albert Halls in Stirling on 12 July 2022. Local businesses were invited to engage with the Council about Community Wealth Building, as well as exhibitors from the public sector, private contractors and local business support providers with the opportunity to raise their profile for upcoming contract opportunities at this in-person event.

Meet the Buyer 2022: Live Virtual Event Outcomes

The Supplier Development Programme has published the final report for Meet the Buyer 2022.

Meet the Buyer 2022 was held on 15 June as a virtual event. Headline partners were the Scottish Government and Scotland Excel. There were 728 actual attendees on the day, which was made up of 278 Scottish unique businesses. There were 457 live meetings and 95 live exhibition chats. The post event survey highlighted that 83% of Scottish SMEs responding to the survey said they were more likely to bid for public contracts after participating in the virtual event.

Meet the Buyer North 2020 Final Report

The Supplier Development Programme has published the final report for Meet the Buyer North 2020.

Meet the Buyer North 2020 was held on 2 September and was the first fully-virtual 'Meet the Buyer' type event that the Supplier Development has ever organised. The Scottish Government was a headline partner of this event. On the day, there were 825 actual attendees on the day, which was made up of 684 suppliers (from 590 unique businesses) and 141 buyers/exhibiting staff. There were 30 virtual stands, and through the 1-2-1 exhibitor meetings on the portal, we collectively achieved 11,000 minutes of video interaction. The post-event survey also highlighted that 90% of Scottish SMEs responding to the survey said they were more likely to bid for public contracts after participating in the virtual event.
