Now in its 18th year, Scotland’s National Meet the Buyer event returns on Thursday 27 May 2027, 10am–3pm, at Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh.

Hosted by the Supplier Development Programme (SDP), in partnership with the Scottish Government, this free event connects businesses with buyers, procurement teams and supply chain partners from across Scotland and the UK.

New for 2027, discover our enhanced event format, including:

  • The Buyer Hub: Connect with potential customers, meet procurement teams and explore contract and supply chain opportunities across Scotland.

  • The Business Growth Hub: Discover practical advice, guidance and support to help your small to medium sized business take the next step towards business growth.

Whether you’re looking to win contracts, build valuable connections, explore supply chain opportunities or take your business to the next level, Meet the Buyer 2027 is the place to make it happen.

Don’t miss your opportunity to connect, discover and grow!

What is Meet the Buyer?

This free to visit event gives you access to buyers and decision makers, from organisations across the public and private sectors. You’ll have the chance to introduce your company, talk to key buyer contacts, and discover opportunities in their pipelines.

Whether you are a micro, small or medium sized supplier, Meet the Buyer National can help you get into public sector supply chains. You will meet buyers connected to public sector projects, who are looking for suppliers that enrich local economies and support Community Wealth Building.

What are the Benefits of Attending?

  • Meet the buyers: Build connections with procurement teams across the public and private sectors featured in the Buyer Hub.

  • Showcase your business: Pitch your products, services and innovations to potential buyers.

  • Grow your business: Access practical advice, guidance and support in the Business Growth Hub.

  • Discover what’s coming: Hear about future projects, contract pipelines and upcoming opportunities.

  • Get tender-ready: Understand procurement processes, terminology and what buyers are looking for.

  • Boost your public sector bidding skills: Get expert tips on finding and winning contracts through Public Contracts Scotland and PCS-Tender.

  • Unlock your potential: Leave with new connections, fresh ideas and practical next steps for your business.

Who should attend Meet the Buyer National?

Meet the Buyer National is aimed towards helping Small Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs) from across Scotland meet buyers. However, all are welcome! Wherever you are based, and however big your business is, there is something useful to be found here!

Not sure if your business’ products and services have a place in public and private sector procurement? You may be able to provide peripheral products and services nearby - for example, MOTs, food and drink, cleaning services, security services, local B&Bs, grounds maintenance.

You can’t afford to miss out on the chance to hear about upcoming projects and contracts.

You’ll only know if you go...

Attendance is key. If you don’t sign up for this free event in advance, you will miss out on the opportunity to introduce your business to Scottish local authorities, framework providers, and big contractors.

If your business can attend just one event this year, make it Meet the Buyer 2027!

All suppliers are eligible to attend for free. However, you must register an account with SDP to book a place.
