Fife Council Meet the Buyer Event

Part of Fife Business Week, Fife Council plans to organise a Meet the Buyer event on Thursday, 5 November 2020.

Fife Council Economic Development, in partnership with the Supplier Development Programme, will host a virtual Meet the Buyer event as part of Fife Business Week 2020. In total, 17 exhibitions have registered to engage with local businesses on upcoming opportunities in Fife and Tayside. These include: Talgo UK, SSE Renewables, Red Rock Power Limited (Inch Cape), Neart na Gaoithe and EDF Renewables (Neart na Goithe), Hadden Group, Procurement for Housing Scotland, Scottish Procurement Alliance, Scotland Excel, Centre for Engineering Education and Development, Fife Council Economic Development, Fife Council Employability, Fife Council Procurement, the Supplier Development Programme, Business Gateway Fife, Fife Chamber of Commerce, Skills Development Scotland, and Fife Health and Social Care Partnership (NHS Fife).

This year's Meet the Buyer event aims to help local businesses find out what contract opportunities are available across a range of sectors, including offshore wind, renewables, manufacturing, construction, and the wider public sector. Participants will explore how to do business with Fife Council and other public sector buyers and gain an operational understanding of how to become part of the supply chain in these sectors. Businesses will also learn about top tendering tips and gain insight into the support that is available to become "tender ready" for these future opportunities through the Supplier Development Programme.
