Aligned Tender Training: Forestry and Land Scotland Soil Surveys

 About the opportunity

Forestry and Land Scotland is setting up a framework agreement with contractors to carry out soil surveys across Scotland. Contractors will conduct both standard surveys (e.g. assessing soil and peat depth on forested, cleared, open, and ex-agricultural land) and non-standard/bespoke surveys (such as peat probing or assessing newly acquired or reclaimed land).

For each survey, contractors must collect and record soil data using Forestry Commission classification systems, map findings digitally (including soil polygons and peat depth data), and submit all outputs in GIS format. They must also produce a written report for each site.

The deadline for bids is 31/08/2026 at 12 noon.
