What can suppliers expect from NatureScot at the Meet the Buyer 2023 event on 17 May?

Peatland ACTION is a national programme to restore peatlands across Scotland. It is led and funded by the Scottish Government and delivered in partnership by NatureScot, Forestry and Land Scotland, the National Parks and Scottish Water. In February 2020, the Scottish Government announced a substantial, multi-annual investment in peatland restoration of more than £250 million up to 2030. In order to meet the restoration targets on the ground, workforce capacity must be increased. There is a shortage of practical contractors working in peatland restoration.

The NatureScot team is looking forward to meeting with all sized businesses at the exhibition stand, and will be on hand to discuss the opportunities presented by the growth of the peatland restoration. The team will also be available to explain more about the tendering process, and how it operates.
