What can suppliers expect from Fife Council at the Meet the Buyer North event on 7 September?

Fife Council has an integrated Planning and Economic Development team who are committed to providing a flexible approach to your needs – whether you have a new investment project, or you are planning to grow your business in Fife. Its team ethos and what drives our services to you is our commitment in making “Fife the best place to do business”.

Its Procurement service is committed to making Fife the best place to do business, as set out in the Plan for Fife. To help achieve this, they are happy to provide information about the procurement processes in order to help organisations who may wish to tender for Fife Council business.

The Procurement Service handles procurement advice across the council and tenders many of its contract requirements. Some Services can tender their own procurement requirements.

The Council can also collaborate on contracts put in place by bodies such as Scotland Excel and Procurement Scotland, rather than undertake a separate tendering process.

As a registered partner of the Supplier Development Programme, Fife Council are committed to providing support to the local business community in the tendering process, ultimately supporting the economic growth for the area.

With regards why they are doing it – to engage with suppliers, showcase Fife opportunities and to encourage Fife companies to engage with the public sector up North.

Businesses will be able to meet with colleagues within Fife’s Economic Development Team and Fife Council Procurement Team where they can find out what support is available for businesses in Fife, as well as understand where the tender opportunities are within Fife Council.

To find out more about the council visit the Fife Council website.
