If you are interested in working for Angus Council, they currently have a host of viable opportunities that your business may be interested in tendering for.

Arbroath Harbour Slipway Cradle Replacement Contract

Angus Council is seeking a suitable supplier to remove and replace the current slipway cradle, which is no longer functionable. The new cradle must be capable of safely supporting vessels using the slipway, in accordance with both the Harbour Authority requirements and relevant marine engineering standards.

The contractor will be required to test and commission the new cradle, ensuring that it can operate safely, with any defects being rectified during this time.

In Angus Council’s 2025 budget, £1.5 million was reserved for capital works across the harbour, demonstrating the opportunity for suppliers to win both work and rewards. Alongside the replacement of the Arbroath Harbour Slipway Cradle, future work is hoping to go out to tender soon regarding replacement of the harbour inner gates.

The time limit for receipt of tenders or requests to participate is Friday 29 May 2026 at 12pm.

A contract notice has been published on Public Contracts Scotland (PCS), where interested parties can access additional information and express their interest.

Working within Construction?

Angus Council is also seeking suitable suppliers to bid for the Housing General Unplanned Repairs Term Contract, to deal with daily reactive unplanned repairs to both occupied and unoccupied dwellings, external areas and garages.

Such works will vary across the areas and buildings, with some elements of modernisation/upgrade being more suitable than repairing.

This contract is divided into Lots with these being split according to location across Angus Council:

Lot 1 – Arbroath

Lot 2 - Carnoustie & Monifieth

Lot 3 - Brechin & Montrose

Lot 4 - Forfar & Kirriemuir

The estimated total value of this contract excluding VAT is £22.56 million.
