East Lothian Council seeks Child-Centred Care at Home Support Services
East Lothian Council Children’s Services is looking for suitable suppliers to commission a child-centred Care at Home support service to help meet the needs of children affected by disability in the region.
East Lothian Council requires care and support services for children and young people in East Lothian who have complex and enduring additional needs. These services will be available to children aged 0-19.
The service provider will:
- Adopt and apply the values within East Lothian Council Children’s Services core services;
- Work together with Children’s Services on agreed children’s plans and co-producing solutions
- Work with the family and ensure that the child, young person and family has a voice throughout the period of involvement with the service;
- Work in partnership with other teams/ organisations who may be involved in the young person’s care plan to deliver outcomes;
- Provide a highly skilled workforce which can work with the most complex of cases;
- Commit to shared learning and development with the Council’s Children’s Services to deliver a workforce who are trauma informed;
- Adopt a learning approach to the work, specifically where outcomes are not achieved for a child/young person and their family, which we seek to understand why, gaining insights into what might have been done differently.
- Undertake a child centred planning approach, centring on the needs of the individual child.
- Take a Human Rights based approach, focussing on rights of the child.
- Undertake a social model of disability, focussing on outcomes and not tasks.
The estimated total value of this contract excluding VAT is £108k.
