Forestry and Land Scotland (FLS)  is seeking suppliers for the up-and-coming  Dynamic Purchasing System contract for Deer & Other Wildlife Management.

At this webinar suppliers will find out the following :

  • What a DPS is and how it will operate.
  • The benefits of a DPS.
  • What they need to do to request admittance to the DPS.
  • The timescales for the DPS.
  • An indication of upcoming projects that are likely to be procured through the DPS.

FLS divides SNFL into five geographical regions – North, East, South, West, and Central. FLS currently has ten live contracts for the provision of Deer & Other Wildlife Management Services – two contracts per region.

The purpose of the DPS is to provide a compliant route to market for FLS to replace Deer & Other Wildlife Management contracts which have been terminated due to contract failure or to replace contracts upon their expiration. This DPS will not be used as a route to market for any other reason.

The scope of the DPS is primarily for deer culling. The culling of feral pig, feral goat and feral sheep is required on an opportunistic basis only. FLS reserves the right to deliver or procure a targeted feral pig, feral goat and/or feral sheep cull.

The DPS is proposed to be split into ten lots. Contracts awarded under each lot will be set a definitive cull target. Further information will be included on an RFI which will shortly be published on Public Contracts Scotland.
