Talking Tenders with South Lanarkshire Council

South Lanarkshire Council has undertaken a strategic review of its homelessness support services and is keen to introduce a Lead Provider Model for the delivery of homelessness temporary accommodation and housing support services.

This Supplier Development Programme (SDP) engagement event provides an opportunity for potential providers, partners and stakeholders to learn more about the Council’s proposed commissioning approach.

The proposed model seeks to bring together a number of currently separately commissioned services, including:

• First Stop / Emergency Access Accommodation Services
• Supported Accommodation Services
• Outreach Housing Support Services
• Out of Hours Homelessness Service

This approach aims to create a more integrated, person-centred and outcomes-focused service that strengthens collaboration across the third sector and wider homelessness system.

The event will:

• Outine the Council’s strategic vision and objectives for homelessness services.
• Provide information on the proposed model and the anticipated commissioning approach.
• Explore how consortium arrangements could support service delivery and partnership working.
• Support networking and partnership development between organisations interested in participating in consortium arrangements.

This engagement is part of the Council’s commitment to ensuring that future homelessness services are designed in partnership with the provider market, are sustainable, deliver value for money, and achieve positive outcomes for people experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness.

The event is open to voluntary sector organisations, social enterprises, housing associations, supported housing providers and other organisations with an interest in delivering homelessness temporary accommodation and housing support services within the local authority area.
