Talking Tenders with East Lothian Council - Construction Works Framework

East Lothian Council will soon be refreshing its Construction Framework, which will facilitate and support a programme of public building works. The Construction Framework will run for a 4-year period providing a many opportunities, with an estimated value in the region of £18m over the course of the framework. To support suppliers in this tendering opportunity, East Lothian Council is partnering with the Supplier Development Programme.

This is a multi-value lot framework, which will involve works contracts for new, refurbishment and modernisation of council public buildings (schools, nurseries, libraries, offices, community halls and sports centres and facilities). These contracts will vary in size, from small £value projects up several £million. Plans include: Internal alteration to various schools and other public buildings, Extension to Longniddry Primary School and Extension to Windygoul Primary School in Tranent, to name just a few. 

The anticipated value of the contract is £18m over the course of the Framework, and the Council and the Supplier Development Programme wants to help and support you to bid successfully so a share of that local wealth can potentially stay in the local community, paid to your business through transparent public procurement practices.

This Talking Tenders webinar will give local SMEs located in the East Lothian Council area and further afield the opportunity to gain insight into the contract opportunity and an introduction to PCS to help you get 'tender ready' in advance. This event would also suit third sector organisations who may benefit from the community benefits clauses and/or provision of elements of the scope.
