About the opportunity

Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) is inviting bids for the Transport Related Contracts DPS. The contracts cover a range of passenger transport services, including home-to-school transport, vocational travel, and specialist transport for individuals with Additional Support Needs.

This opportunity represents the re-opening of a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) valued at £900 million over a duration of 180 months (15 years).

Acting on behalf of twelve local authorities in the west of Scotland (Glasgow, North Lanarkshire, South Lanarkshire, East Dunbartonshire, West Dunbartonshire, East Renfrewshire, Renfrewshire, East Ayrshire, North Ayrshire, South Ayrshire, Argyll & Bute, and Inverclyde), SPT is managing this procurement process centrally, making it easier for transport operators to engage with multiple councils through a single tender.

This contract is divided into 12 lots, one for each local authority.

While SPT is coordinating the process, it is important to note that any contracts awarded will be held directly between the successful operator and the relevant council.
