Could You Provide Carer Support Services within Midlothian Council?

Midlothian Council is seeking expressions of interest from providers with experience in delivering an Unpaid Carer Support Service.

The provider will be required to deliver the following services:

• Supporting carers rights and identification
• Direct carer support in a range of format
• Carer advice and support
• Carer wellbeing and short break
• Employment and economic wellbeing support
• Adult carer support
• Future planning such as Power of Attorney

Services must demonstrate commitment to joint, collaborative working with Third sector groups and services, and public sector services, and undertaking reporting to commissioners and the Scottish Government in relation to the Carers Census.

A Prior Information Notice (PIN) has been published on Public Contracts Scotland (PCS), where interested parties can access additional information and express their interest.

The estimated date of publication of this contract notice is 7 September 2026.
