Scottish Fire and Rescue Service Seeking Market Engagement Ahead of Procurement for Vehicle Conversion Services

Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) is seeking market engagement with suitable providers for the provision of Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) Vehicle Conversions.

The supplier will be required to convert circa 600 HGV Fire Appliances to allow for the accommodation of the new self-contained breathing apparatus. This will involve installing a modified stowage bracket and securing system for the new Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus Entry Control Board.

SFRS is holding a supplier information day on Thursday 23^rd July 2026 at SFRS National Training Centre in Cambuslang, G72 7NA between 12pm and 2pm.

A Prior Information Notice (PIN) has been published on Public Contracts Scotland (PCS) where interested parties can gather additional information, express their interest and access the registration details for the supplier information day, which can be found within the additional documents. 

The estimated date of this publication notice is Tuesday 1 September 2026.
