Partner Event

North Lanarkshire Council is hosting an online market engagement event to share information about its Enterprise Strategic Commercial Partnership contract which will support the Council’s ambition to be the place to Live, Learn, Work, Invest and Visit on 3 August 2020.

As Scotland’s fourth largest local authority, North Lanarkshire Council is forward thinking and ambitious, with a clear vision and agreed plan on how it will transform North Lanarkshire, making it the place to Live, Learn, Work, Invest and Visit.

To realise its ambitions, North Lanarkshire Council will shortly be seeking a partner to create a long-term, strategic, commercial and place-shaping partnership to enable it to work together to deliver a full range of interconnected property, community asset and infrastructure investments including the repair and investment in current and new build housing and council assets, as well as building new community assets, infrastructure and town centre regeneration programmes.

The event

At the event, suppliers will hear from a senior member of North Lanarkshire Council's corporate management team and representatives of the project team who will provide an overview of the opportunity to prospective bidders, outline the scale of the Council's ambition, its commitment to the project, what it is looking for in a partner and indicative timescales for taking this forward.

Following the event, by way of a separate feedback questionnaire, the Council will also seek to gather suppliers' views on this opportunity and the direction of travel. North Lanarkshire Council will use the information provided to further develop our thinking and how it shapes this to guarantee maximum value.

Who should attend?

This is an exciting opportunity for organisations that share North Lanarkshire Council's ambition and are interested in establishing a corporate entity (i.e. a company or partnership) with the Council to deliver an innovative new approach to deliver a full range of interconnected property, community asset and infrastructure investments. This may involve the parties sharing assets, resources, land, capital, staff, investment, know-how and risk.

Please note – this event is not aimed at organisations that have or are interested in having a traditional contracting relationship with the Council. North Lanarkshire Council will engage with this important stakeholder group at a future event and via other communication channels.

Event Arrangements

With such a high-profile partnership, North Lanarkshire Council expects interest to be high. The event is limited to 100 attendees and the Council can only allocate one place per organisation. The event will be held over Webex software, which suppliers can access through a separate invitation following registration.

Questions will not be taken during the event, but suppliers will be advised of the mechanism for any queries.

Further Information

A Prior Information Notice (PIN) has been published on the Public Contracts Scotland website.  As this partner event is being organised directly by North Lanarkshire Council, suppliers must register on a separate website.
