Please join this Talking Tenders webinar to hear directly from the colleagues within Glasgow City Council, as they present a planned tender exercise for partners within the City’s Alcohol and Drug Partnership (ADP).

Contract Objectives and Scope

The ADP strategic vision is for individuals, families and communities is to live free from the harms of alcohol and drugs. We want experienced, innovative, and value driven Providers to deliver impactful alcohol and drug recovery services in our communities, including early intervention and prevention, harm reduction, treatment and care, and abstinence.

We invite bids from organisations who can meet the requirements of our service specification and open to working with us to bring about change. Services will require to meet the needs of our community and actively promote the service while also overcoming any barriers to engagement.

There are five service delivery Lots aimed at supporting recovery and reducing harm from alcohol and drug use. For each Lot, consortium bids are welcome:

  • Lot 1: Community Recovery Hubs and Supporting Treatment and Recovery service (STARS)
    Local hubs offering trauma-informed recovery support and telephone-based care for individuals on stable treatment plans.

  • Lot 2: Counselling Service
    One-to-one counselling and alcohol brief interventions to support recovery and prevent harm.

  • Lot 3: Family Support
    Services for adults affected by a loved one’s substance use, including respite for informal carers.

  • Lot 4: ARBD Outreach
    Community-based support for individuals recovering from Alcohol-Related Brain Damage.

  • Lot 5: Community Alcohol and Drug Recovery Providers
    A framework for future service delivery, activated via mini competitions as funding allows.
