Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) is the Scottish Government's economic and community development agency for the north and west of Scotland. HIE help build a prosperous, inclusive and sustainable economy across the Highlands and Islands, attracting more people to live, work, study, invest and visit. HIE's role is to develop sustainable economic growth across the region and HIE have offices across the region helping communities and businesses to develop and grow.
Local businesses and social enterprises will receive an invaluable insight into HIE’s Procurement Strategy which was updated in June 2021 and their forward plan of contract opportunities which are anticipated to be procured over the next year.
HIE will discuss their approach to Social Value – including Fair Work First, Community Benefits/Community Wealth Building and Sustainable Procurement to support your understanding on what is looked for in the tender process.
