Merry Christmas from the Supplier Development Programme

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the Supplier Development Programme!

It has been a very busy year for the Supplier Development Programme. We invite you to view a short holiday message on our YouTube Channel.

Since 1 April and the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, there have been 1,206 new registrations from Scottish SMEs nationally, including 201 unique SME businesses located in the North of Scotland.

The Supplier Development Programme has also delivered 76 events online, supporting to date:

  • 4,619 online event registrations from suppliers for online events in total
  • 1,954 Scottish SME attendees (254 attendees located in the North of Scotland, including the Highlands and Islands)
  • 1,807 unique Scottish SMEs and supported businesses (233 unique SMEs located in the North of Scotland, including the Highlands and Islands)

Crucially, 90% of these Scottish SMEs (who filled in our feedback forms!) said they were more likely to bid for public sector contracts as a result of the training and support they received from SDP.

Despite the challenges we have all faced this year, SDP remains here as a steady and free source of support for your business in becoming a supplier to the public sector.

The SDP elves are already hard at work compiling a full programme of opportunities for the coming year. If you're a micro, small or medium sized business in Scotland - or if you're in the third sector - please ensure that you visit the events sectionand register free for upcoming tender training and engagement events in 2021.

Please note: over the festive period, the SDP Office will be closed from 25 December until 4 January 2021. Please feel free to email and a member of the team will respond as soon as possible.

We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from all of us at the Supplier Development Programme.
