Could you carry out Demolition and Construction Works in Argyll & Bute Council?
Argyll & Bute Council is seeking a contractor with the relevant experience to the demolition of the existing Campbeltown Sailing Club and the construction of a new seasports facility on behalf of Kintyre Seasports.
The Kintyre Sea Sports project forms part of the Argyll and Bute Rural Growth Deal programme and involves the demolition and redevelopment of the existing Campbeltown Sailing Club on the northern shore of Campbeltown Loch.
The Contract includes the planning, management and execution of all works necessary to deliver the demolition of the existing Campbeltown Sailing Club building and the construction of a new Kintyre Sea Sports facility on the same site.
The contractor will be required to deliver:
- Safe demolition and clearance of the existing sailing club building.
- Construction of a new two storey facility, including all civil, structural, architectural, mechanical and electrical works.
- Internal fit out and installation of fixtures, fittings and equipment for full operational use.
- Planning, management and monitoring of the construction phase, including acting as Principal Contractor.
- Procurement and coordination of the supply chain.
- External works including hard and soft landscaping, access arrangements, service connections, and boat and equipment storage provision.
- Coordination and liaison with statutory undertakers and relevant authorities throughout delivery.
The site is a constrained waterfront location within a residential area, making careful management of these arrangements particularly important.
The time limit for receipt of tenders or requests to participate is Monday 03 August 2026 at 12 noon.
A contract notice has been published on Public Contracts Scotland (PCS), where interested parties can access additional information and express their interest.
