Could Your Business Provide Highland Council with Skip Services?

Highland Council is seeking suitable providers to deliver the servicing of skip containers used for the storage of a range of recyclable materials and/or waste including Special Waste, namely wrapped bonded asbestos at Highland Council Recycling Centres and Transfer Stations.

The providers will be required to collect skip containers from Highland Council’s sites and transport them to a range of appointed treatment/disposal facilities as required.

This contract has been divided into five lots:

• Lot 1 - Inverness & Inner Moray Firth
• Lot 2 - Skye
• Lot 3 - Lochaber
• Lot 4 - Plasterboard
• Lot 5 - Asbestos

Tenders may be submitted for a single, multiple or all lots dependent on the capability of the provider.

The total estimated value of this contract excluding VAT is £5.3 million. 

The time limit for receipt of tenders or requests to participate is Monday 6 July 2026 at 12pm.

A contract notice has been published on Public Contracts Scotland (PCS) where interested parties can access additional information and express their interest.
