Help East Dunbartonshire Council Combat Homelessness!

East Dunbartonshire is seeking an outreach housing support service for homeless households and those who require housing support, by assisting them to manage and sustain their tenancy.

The supplier will provide person-centred support around the following key areas:

• Practical assistance to move and settle into accommodation (temporary and settled accommodation) i.e. setting up utilities, setting up direct debit/housing element/housing benefit for rent, council tax, change of address, applying for relevant benefits/grants.
• Encourage a rent paying culture i.e. ensure that the household is aware that rent payment is priority, reiterate payment methods and importance of paying rent on time.
• Provide advice/assistance to households at risk of losing their tenancy due rent arrears.
• Ensure that the tenant is aware of their tenancy agreement and obligations i.e. paying rent, good neighbour charter, door keeping assisting them to sustain their tenancy.
• Provide housing support to households on a Short Scottish Secure Tenancy (SSST).
• Provide additional support to access other support services e.g. health, social work, leisure and education.

The estimated total value of this contract excluding VAT is £400k.

A contract notice has been published on Public Contracts Scotland, although interested parties will need to register with PCS-T to access additional information and express their interest.
