Help Shape NatureScot's Wildfire Resilience Work in the Scottish Highlands!

NatureScot LogoNatureScot is seeking information from potential suppliers to help shape a future procurement for wildfire resilience work at Beinn Eighe National Nature Reserve (NNR), near Kinlochewe in the Scottish Highlands.

Beinn Eighe, designated in 1951 as the UK’s first National Nature Reserve, contains the largest remnant of Caledonian Pinewood in Northwest Scotland and is of exceptional ecological value.

The aim of this engagement is to better understand the market’s capability, capacity and approaches for:

  • Assessing wildfire resilience using evidence-based methods.
  • Developing long-term plans to reduce wildfire risk.
  • Comparing how resilient the reserve’s main habitat types are to wildfire.
  • Identifying management options, particularly nature-based solutions, that could improve resilience.

The estimated date of publication of this contract notice is Monday 29 June 2026.  

A Prior Information Notice (PIN) has been published on Public Contracts Scotland (PCS), where interested parties can gather additional information and express their interest.
