Recruitment Agency Services Required by Zero Waste Scotland
Zero Waste Scotland is seeking technical support from a suitably skilled and experienced third-party recruitment agency to recruit and manage a series of internships to be placed within different enterprises in Scotland to support the transition to circular business models.
The Zero Waste Scotland Circular Economy Intern Programme was launched in 2020 to help businesses adopt circular economy practices. It provides temporary intern support to give organisations extra capacity to develop and implement new ideas. The programme was created because many businesses want to explore circular economy opportunities but lack the time and resources to do so alongside their everyday work.
The agency will be required to deliver the following services:
- The development of suitable job descriptions for placements, aligned with the agreed scope and objectives.
- Advertisement of the internship opportunity through appropriate and agreed recruitment/media channels.
- Shortlisting of suitable candidates against agreed selection criteria.
- Coordinating and conducting interviews with suitable shortlisted candidates, in collaboration with the Zero Waste Scotland and the host enterprise.
- Intern Contract Management.
- Providing ongoing support and primary contact for the intern throughout the placement.
- Monitoring of the intern’s progress throughout the placement, providing evaluation and feedback.
- Provision of all payroll requirements including statutory obligations.
- Exit management of the intern at the end of the placement, including end of contract processes.
The estimated total value of this contract excluding VAT is £300k.
The time limit for receipt of tenders or requests to participate is Friday 3 July 2026 at 5pm.
A contract notice has been published on Public Contracts Scotland (PCS), although interested parties will need to register with PCS-Tender (PCS-T) to gather additional information and express their interest.
