Concept Northern first engaged with the Supplier Development Programme (SDP) in 2016 at a supplier event related to the then-new Glasgow City Region City Deal. Staff undertook SDP webinar training in environmental policy, health and safety policy, equality and quality management through ISO9001 policy, and participated in several Meet the Buyer events over the years. Concept Northern is an accredited Living Wage Scotland employer, and won its first public sector contract with the University of the Highlands and Islands in 2021 to provide Text Help software, ‘Read Write Gold’.

Formerly known as Investors in People Scotland, and based in Edinburgh, Remarkable specialises in business advisory, consultancy, leadership and organisational development. Since first registering with the Supplier Development Programme (SDP) in 2018, Remarkable was successful in bidding for a contract from Perth & Kinross Council to supply a leadership development approach known as Intent Based Leadership (IBL) which supported the creation of a dynamic leadership movement and enabled the council to offer leadership development at scale, for all those in a leadership role, over time. Remarkable says the guidance the company received from SDP was instrumental in submitting a robust and effective bid.

City of Edinburgh Council Facilitates Transparency in Hard FM Supply Chain with Supplier Development Programme

City of Edinburgh Council approached the Supplier Development Programme (SDP) to deliver a free Talking Tenders webinar event, supplemented by one-to-one meetings between outgoing suppliers from the previous framework and the potential new Delivery Partners.

The commercial property repair and maintenance programme contract opportunity is for a 10-year period and the estimated contract value is £150m - £180m. In December 2020, in partnership with SDP, The City of Edinburgh Council engaged with suppliers of all sizes to fulfil the requirements of this procurement exercise. Potential manufacturers, suppliers and sub-contractors interested in potential forthcoming sub-contracting opportunities related to this tender exercise attended a ‘Talking Tenders’ webinar in a morning session.
