SDP is often asked to disseminate research opportunities to Scottish-based SMEs, third sector bodies, and supported businesses that engage with us through training and events. Open Supplier Meeting - Future National Civil Engineering Framework (for Works & Associated Services, including Roads & Roads Maintenance) Final Report

The Supplier Development Programme has published the final report for the Open Supplier Meeting - Future National Civil Engineering Framework (for Works & Associated Services, including Roads & Roads Maintenance)

The Scottish Government, in partnership with the Supplier Development Programme (SDP), delivered an Open Supplier Meeting along with representatives of Scottish Procurement and Property Directorate, Contracting Authorities and Industry on 27 January 2022. This event was organised to hear the initial thoughts and views from contractors of all sizes including Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3, and SMEs who are interested in bidding for the future contract opportunity or being part of the supply chain for the National Civil Engineering Framework – for Works & Associated Services, including Roads & Roads Maintenance.

Open Supplier Meeting Outcomes - Scottish Government's Climate Justice Communities Opportunity

The Supplier Development Programme has published the final report for the Scottish Government Open Supplier Meeting for Climate Justice Communities.

The Scottish Government, in partnership with the Supplier Development Programme (SDP), delivered two Open Supplier Meetings along with representatives of Scottish Procurement, in relation to the Climate Justice Communities Opportunity. The first event was held on 22 March 2022 with a follow-up event taking place on 5 April 2022. These events were organised to hear the initial thoughts and views from contractors of all sizes including Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3, and SMEs which are interested in being the service provider for the climate justice programme. The programme is multi-year and will require scoping, designing, and delivery of the programme to meet the climate justice needs of communities most at risk to the impacts of climate change within Malawi, Zambia and Rwanda.

Fife Council Meet the Buyer 2021: Dunfermline Learning Campus and Levenmouth Railway Link Supply Chain Opportunities Final Report

The Supplier Development Programme has published the final report for Fife Council Meet the Buyer 2021: Dunfermline Learning Campus and Levenmouth Railway Link Supply Chain Opportunities.

Fife Council Economic Development, in partnership with hub East Central Scotland, Fife College, BAM Construction, Balfour Beatty, Network Rail and the Supplier Development Programme, came together to help local businesses find out what contract opportunities are available as part of the Dunfermline Learning Campus (DLC) (200m project) and the Levenmouth Railway Link project delivery (£70m project). On the day, there were 252 participants. Of these, 158 attendees were from 144 unique Scottish SMEs/supported businesses. After attending the Fife Council Meet the Buyer event in partnership with the Supplier Development Programme, 89% of Scottish SME/supported businesses said they were more likely to bid for public sector contracts as a direct result of participating in the event.

Meet the Buyer North 2021 Final Report

The Supplier Development Programme has published the final report for Meet the Buyer North 2021.

Meet the Buyer North 2021 was held on 7 September as a virtual event. Headline partners were the Scottish Government and Scottish Procurement Alliance. There were 441 actual attendees on the day, which was made up of 224 Scottish unique businesses and 108 buyers/exhibiting staff. There were 428 live meetings and 275 live exhibition chats. The post-event survey highlighted that 97% of Scottish SMEs responding to the survey said they were more likely to bid for public contracts after participating in the virtual event.

Forth Valley Meet the Buyer Final Report

The Supplier Development Programme has published the final report for Forth Valley Meet the Buyer.

Falkirk Council, Stirling Council and Clackmannanshire Council, in partnership with the Supplier Development Programme, hosted a Forth Valley 'Meet the Buyer' event online on Wednesday, 30 June 2021. On the day, there were 204 participants made up of 159 supplier attendees and 45 exhibitors/speakers/public sector colleagues. The event had very positive feedback with 95% were more likely to bid for public contracts as a result of attending. After attending the Forth Valley Meet the Buyer Event in partnership with the Supplier Development Programme, 95% of Scottish SME/supported businesses said they were more likely to bid for public sector contracts as a direct result of participating in the event.
