The Scottish Government highlight SDPs upcoming Meet the Buyer events in latest Scottish Procurement Vlog

In the latest Scottish Government Public Procurement and Property Vlog, Nick Ford, Director of Scottish Procurement and Property, reflects on the success of SDPs Meet the Buyer National event, and highlights the upcoming Meet the Buyer North and Meet the Buyer South events.

Meet the Buyer North 2023

Taking place in Aberdeen on 12 September, Meet the Buyer North 2023 will allow your business to connect with "real" buyers from the public sector operating in the North and Islands of Scotland, as well as private contractors with supply chain opportunities and business support providers, all under one roof. Meet the Buyer South 2023

Together with headline partners South of Scotland Enterprise (SOSE), Scottish Borders Council, Dumfries and Galloway Council, and the Scottish Government, the Supplier Development Programme has announced the second Meet the Buyer South event will take place on 3 October 2023 in Langholm. Suppliers will be able to meet procurement teams from local authorities in the South of Scotland, alongside other public and private sector buying organisations, and can also find out how to become 'tender ready' for bid writing for these many opportunities through free training from the Supplier Development Programme.

Meet the Buyer South aims to help local businesses find out what contract opportunities are available both within the two councils, local supply chains, and further afield across a range of sectors. Attendees will explore how to do business with public sector buyers and gain an operational understanding of how to become part of local supply chains, as well as how to get involved in Community Wealth Building opportunities.

No business is too small to attend Meet the Buyer South! The event is aimed at sole traders, micro, small and medium sized businesses, supported businesses and third sector organisations, but it is open to businesses of all sizes.
