Help Argyll and Bute Council Make Improvements to the Care at Home Service!
To help shape the changes and updates to the Care at Home Service, Argyll and Bute Council is seeking input and opinions from the marketplace, in this Request for Information (RFI).
Current Care at Home Framework Contract
In 2024, a procurement exercise was undertaken which resulted in the current Care at Home Framework Contract. This framework comprises 11 providers across six geographical lots. It was awarded for an initial two‑year period, with the option to extend for up to two additional years; the initial term concludes in November 2026.
The contract introduced a transition from individual provider rates to fixed rates structured on a three‑tier rurality model: Urban, Rural and Very Rural.
The intention of the new rates structure was to provide a consistent framework of rates, to support the sustainability of provision and support budget management.
The estimated date of publication for this contract notice is Thursday 4 June 2026.
A Prior Information Notice (PIN) has been published on Public Contracts Scotland (PCS), where interested parties can gather additional information and express their interest.
