Scottish Enterprise Logo

Scottish Enterprise is looking to appoint a number of suppliers to a framework to enable access to experienced co-operative and community business advisors.

Co-operative models are collaborative vehicles that play an important role in creating globally competitive businesses, industries and infrastructure. They enable employees, businesses and communities to work together to fulfil shared interests. This unlocks creativity and capacity. There is growing evidence that they increase productivity, innovation and growth - whilst achieving wider societal benefits.

Scottish Enterprise and Co-operative Development Scotland (CDS) provide support to companies and community groups who want to adopt employee ownership or co-operative business models - including consortium, community, platform and worker co-operatives - and want to raise awareness of the benefits of these models on business performance.

CDS is looking to appoint a number of suppliers to a framework to enable access to experienced co-operative and community business advisors. The framework will be advertised via Public Contracts Scotland.

Services to be delivered under the framework are likely to include:

  • Support to help establish a new co-operative
  • Support to more established co-op who may have support needs to enable them to sustain, grow, diversify etc
  • Support directly to CDS which may include development and delivery of training materials; input into podcasts, case studies etc; input into template documentation etc.
