SDP announced as finalist in UK GO Awards

SDP and COVID-19 Procurement Guidance

With most parts of Scotland now back in lock down, SDP have put together this short notice as a reminder of the procurement guidance issued by the Scottish Government in their Scottish Procurement Policy Notice's (SPPN) earlier in the pandemic. There are three main areas of guidance that still remain valid as of 17 February 2021: the on-going support relief that is available for suppliers, how to make the best of procurement resources, and procurement regulations.

Scottish Government Issues New Construction Policy Notes: CPN 8/2020 and CPN 9/2020

Construction Policy Notes (CPNs) alert contracting authorities to new policy, guidance and other matters relating to public sector construction. The Scottish Government has published two new Construction Policy Notes.

New Scottish Procurement Policy Note (SPPN) - Coronavirus (COVID-19): recovery and transition from COVID-19

The Scottish Government has issued a new Scottish Procurement Policy Note (SPPN) regarding recovery and transition from Coronavirus (COVID-19). This policy note is supplementary to and extends SPPN 5/2020 – supplier relief and comes into effect on 1 July 2020. The SPPN sets out guidance for public bodies on reviewing contract portfolios and implementing transition plans as soon as possible with a view to restarting contracts, where possible to do so, in line with the opening up of markets and the Scottish Government’s Routemap through and out of lockdown.
